To see the world through the eyes of a child...

If only we could all see the world as a child does...what JOY we'd have!

If you listen closely, Ava talks about "maybe Papa got a crane and dumped it here". About 10 minutes before this video the girls talked to Papa Randy. He had snow back there and Ava asked him if he could send her some (we didn't have any yet). I'm not for sure how she came up with him getting a crane and dumping snow on Gardner, but she's a sharp one so I guess she thought of it on her own. Enjoy the video!

City Christmas Tree Lighting

Waiting for the show to start!

YEAH! The lights finally came on, now
the waiting to see Santa!

Having a little cookie while we wait!

What is so cute here is Ema talking to
the Elf watching the door.
Come on Elf, aren't you suppose to be short, like me?
Don't you think you can get this line movin'?
We would like to go into the warmth!
Hey, thanks for holding the door open.
We appreciate it very much!

Yeah, we are so close!

There she is, Mrs. Claus...trying to coax me
with a candy cane.
It works everytime!
Well, Ema was close to sitting with Santa.
She was all excited to sit there,
then when she looked up and saw
who she was next too, she had second thoughts
and took off that bench like a
horse out of the gates at a race!

Ava on the other hand was ready to let Santa
know what she would like.
A cupcake maker, she even was so kind
to remind Santa he forgot to leave it last year.
She also asked for this last year with a
Hannah Montana microphone.
Well, see what he might bring this year!?!

Getting our ornament for our tree!

Ema's second chance, with mommy!

Putting up the Christmas Tree

Helping dad put the tree up in the basement.

The girls are such good helpers.
Overly excited most of the time.
Hard workers definately!!!

Sandy, well, he's a helper of a different nature.
Help hold the furniture in place!

After a filling Thanksgiving we came home
to enjoy decorating the house for the
Christmas Season ahead.
Our first order of business, setting up the basement tree,
which includes a little of Rudolph and Frosty movies,
then daddy put up the outdoor lights,
finally we end the day with putting up the baby tree in the
girls room with their tiny decorations.
We then enjoyed getting the city in the festive mood by attending
Christmas in the Park and meeting Santa!
(Pictures above)
Finally this year, back into tradition,
we got our real tree in the living room and the girls
enjoy setting up the Nativity Scene in front of it.

Putting on the STAR at last!

Ema wanted her turn to touch it!

Then a few poses!
Enjoy the Halloween PJs too!

Sisterly Love!

Merry Christmas to all!!!

Lipgloss and Nails

You know every girl likes to feel pretty, and
a little lipgloss and nail polish always helps.

Here Ava and Ema have got their
bottles open and got right to work
pretting up those nails.

I tell you it's hard work making sure you get
each nail colored up a bit.

See!
Look how pretty they are.
And she did them all by herself.

Better make sure they are perfect...

and dry!
BLOW!

See mine!
And she did them all by herself as well.
No way, am I taking any help from
mommy when sissy does it all by herself.

Smooooooch!
How do our lips look?
Shiny and mosturized!

Got to get it just in the right spots,
so when daddy gets home,
we'll be ready to smooch!

Tent Time

Our daddy is so cool!
He can carry us on his shoulders, drive a car, wrestle and tickle us,
but what's the best is his AWESOME tent making skills.
WOW--if you need a tent, call on our daddy.
Tents are great for reading books, hiding and giggling,
and watching cartoons!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Ema what are you thankful for this year: I'm a Princess! Your a princess? Um, YES!

Ava what are you thankful for this year: Princesses and Candy, Ice Cream, Berries, Cake, and Mermaids!

WOW!
Oh the simple things in life to be thankful for!!
Shay and I are thankful for Family, our healthy girls, and God's great love for us and compassion for us! We appreciate each day as a gift and know that whatever the day brings...it's blessing!
Even the screams and cries:)
