Ema Jolee Bernard

Well, she is 1 now! We went to see Dr. Mellick today. She was such a great girl. Ema weighed 20 lbs. 6 oz. and is 30 in. tall. Wow, she's growing good is all the nurse could say with a smile! She definately likes her foods! Dr. Mellick said she was looking GREAT, her head is starting to really round out, which is a relief to mommy, and her growth looks really good. She is now ready to join the Toddler Club--if she would just get up the nerve to do it. She's also about ready to have a GREAT change of getting her car seat turned around. I think she will be REALLY happy then, but it might be a little more difficult to bother sister from that angle, we'll see! Ava was very comforting as Ema got her 4 shots. If you ask Ava, you might hear her say the nurse gave Ema a 'shock.' The 't' just doesn't come out strong. Ava also kept asking all during Ema's appointmet, "What's Dr. Mellick gonna do to Ema?" Ava watch on very carefully just to make sure Dr. Mellick was gentle I think!

Happy Birthday!

Ema was super excited to
have all of us sing Happy Birthday to her!
She was ready to just dive into that cupcake.
Ava definately was too!
Ava helped make Ema's cupcakes.
She even put sprinkles on them for
the Birthday Girl
and sang as loud as she could to sissy!

Ema wasted no time eating them right up!

Oh yea baby! They were good!

Hey there Little People Man, let me just tell
you your fate. I'm going to be putting
you in my mouth now because
I want to make sure you have showered today.
No, just joking, I just want to make sure you
don't taste like Chocolate
Ice Cream, because on the slight chance
you might, I want to be the first
to ingest you, not my sister!
Hey, this is a Stick-Up!!!
HaHaHa--get it
stick, up!
Wow, I'm so funny!
So you stay right there,
I'm just going to go around this
corner and see what's on the other side.
Now you wait!
Peek-A-Boo
I see you!!
Smiles all around!
Look at me--I'm ONE!

WooWoo--Hey ladies and gentlemen!
Me and momma when to try on beeautiful
Cinderella dresses because my great
cous Alyssa has asked me,
okay she didn't ask me, she asked my mom
and my mom said YES!! Thankfully, because if she
didn't that would be one of the many
moments I would have to write down in history
of times I would be upset at her.
Anyway, she asked if I could be her
flower girl in her wedding this summer!
I get to be a BEEAUTIFUL flower girl!!!
I'm very excited.
In fact, when mom told me,
I had to gasp for air! It was so
joyous for me!
Below you'll see many of the pretty
dresses mommy and I went to
try on last night.
I LOVED twirling and dancing around
but I was having trouble
finding my flowers. I need to
locate those, because you know a
Flower Girl cannot perform her proper duties
as the official FG (flower girl) with our flowers!

Jee, let me see now, should I have tea with

Prince Charming or Snow White today?

Me belting out a few tunes about being a

Pretty Princess. I sing best in the

mornings--how about you?

Doesn't she just look so adorable.

Definately fun for her to try on all

the pretty dresses. And we saw some

brides as well, then she wanted

to go and stand on the circle where the

brides stand to look in the mirror.

She kept telling me all evening, I need my flowers

mom. Finally I found a fake bouquet they

had there so I let her hold it and look

in the mirror. Boy o Boy--some

man is in BIG trouble someday.

I when I say man--I mean Shay!

He better be working hard to pay for that wedding!

Sisters are Cool!

We get to sleep together, or at
least wake eachother up!

We get to play together!
And we get to keep dry under our umbrella

together!

Thank You

I'm 1!

1 Year Old

Did I tell you, I'm not a baby anymore?
Just loungin' on my birthday!
Well, the day finally came. Our Ema Jolee turned 1 yesterday!
We can hardley believe it and NO we are not thinking
of adding to this Bernard clan just yet.
Nothing big planned for the BIG O-N-E, but Sunday
we are going to have a little birthday celebration.
Ava can't wait to help Ema blow out her candle.
We visit Dr. Mellick on Wednesday so I'll let you know
then how big our little girl is growing.
She's definately growing--I just got out all her
12-mo. clothing and they fit so well,
some are almost too small.
No walking yet though, Mom's back will feel
so much better when that happens as well.
I think she's just holding out because she knows
how good it is to be taken care of.
Someday, Mom will return the favor!:)

Traveling to Florida

Ema had her sit all pick out for the plane ride,
sorry Grandma you'll have to sit somewhere else.

Ava enjoying listening to Radio Disney

on the plane.

We are unloaded and ready to go.
Orlando or BUST!!!

Ava: 'Okay Ema this is what I say we do,

when we land in Orlando, we get our rental car,

and head straight to the parks. We want

to get in as much Mickey time as possible, OK!

Is that are airplane?

Can we just get on already, I want to go!

Finally--we're OFF.

More from Disney

Meeting Pluto!!
Minnie sure has a full refridgerator of cheese.
Maybe I'll move it, because I LOVE cheese!!!
Check out Mickey's garden, he sure grows some
cute looking cacti.
The playground was so nice, to let
the girls release some energy.

Riding the tea cups! It's always fun going
for a spin after lunch!
Faster, faster faster!
Mommy and Ava in front of their house,
opps I mean in front of Cinderella's house!

Meeting Donald Duck!
Hugging Pluto!

Meeting Mickey Mouse!
He was so nice, especially since Ema
knocked him in the nose. Needless to say,
he recovered.

Playhouse Disney was so much fun!
Ava still talks about it and saying
Suprise to Minnie Mouse!

Ema enjoyed story time with Belle.
Belle just might be her favorite Princess.

Thanking Belle for sharing story time with us.
